Sadly though, that role will cease as of the end of this year, when Kaplan leaves Nintendo. What's the chance of another woman taking on the role? Worse still, what's the chance of another woman with Kaplan's finesse taking on the role--we'd guess zilch.
Perrin Kaplan always seemed so... honest, so nice and let's face it, supportive of the female gamer community. It's hard to say goodbye, but we wish Perrin all the luck with whatever project she's falls into post Nintendo.

She always seemed ok, but how can you ever tell with PR. I've had some awful experiences with gaming PR, from bare faced lying to backtracking. Good luck to her though.
Apparently one Cammie Dunaway may be taking up a position with Nintendo-so goes the rumor.
The marketing genius from Yahoo is set to take up a new position and her internal departure memo seems to suggest it may be with Nintendo of America.
"While I can't share the specifics until mid next week, suffice it to say that it is a natural fit for someone who loves driving profitable revenue for big, well loved consumer brands and can't pass up the opportunity to be the coolest Mom in the universe."
Could Cammie be the new Perrin?
